Exclusive App-Based TIVA Simulation Workshop with Remithem
“The TIVA Workshop marked the first academic initiative under Themis Anasthesia Academy. Conducted with leading national faculty, the workshop offered hands-on learning on Total Intravenous Anasthesia, covering protocols, practical demonstrations, and real-case guidance It set the foundation for TAA’s mission to advance scientific excellence in anasthesiology.”
TIVA Concepts and PK/PD
The program began with a detailed review of “TIVA: The Concept, The Device & The Technique,” covering advantages and multi-compartment PK/PD of Propofol & Remifentanil using Marsh, Schnider, and Minto models.
Immersive, Scenario-Based Simulation Training
Using India’s first App-Based TIVA Trainer and advanced simulation lab, practical Remifentanil-based training was delivered across:
- Day Care Surgery: Fast induction, smooth emergence, minimal respiratory depression.
- Oncosurgery (Elderly / Long Duration): Predictable recovery with context-sensitive half-time.
